“Hogwarts Legacy” is an upcoming action role-playing video game set in Harry Potter’s wizarding realm. The Phoenix is a mythical bird in the game who is said to have great magical abilities.
Phoenixes are magical beings in the Harry Potter universe who can regenerate from their own ashes, making them practically immortal. They are also connected with fire, rebirth, and renewal and are thought to be strong protectors.
How to Unlock the Phoenix in Hogwarts Legacy
To be able to collect beasts, you must first complete the ‘Jackdaw’s Rest’ main quest and then enter the Room of Requirement. After attending your first Beasts Class and completing the main objective ‘The Helm Of Urtkot,’ you must additionally unlock the mission ‘The Elf, The Nab-Sack, And The Loom,’ which is delivered by the house elf Deek.
Through this quest, you will acquire the ability to collect beasts in the Room of Requirement Vivarium. And in it, the second last quest will be to acquire the Phoenix after you have unlocked all three Vivariums. Unfortunately, this is the only phoenix in the game and it will require you to travel to Phoenix Mountain as a part of Deek’s quest “Phoenix Rising”.
How to Solve the quest “Phoenix Rising” in Hogwarts Legacy
Firstly, travel to the cave location on your map. For that you must first travel to the Coastal Mine waypoint (as shown in the map).
Then fly to the west and you will arrive to the cave. You’ll know you are in the right place when you see the flame icon right outside the cave.
You will be greeted with a fragile blockade. Use an attack spell like Confringo from your arsenal and break through. Proceed through the passageway.
After sometime, you will meet some poachers. Mind you, they are not really friendly. So greet them with love. Or you can hurl barrels and spells at them.
After you take care of the one’s you see, you will meet some of their friends, right below that level. Treat them with love as you would treat Inferi. After proceeding up, you will meet some more poachers. Please take care of them. (My god, these folks don’t stop coming).
Then after you defeat those poachers and walk ahead, you will witness a phoenix flying towards you in a brief cutscene. After the cutscene, you will understand that you need to follow it.
Walk to the right and climb up the wooden structures.
Walk up to the locked gate. Use Alohomora to unlock the gate. You would need the spell to be at level three so that you can unlock the gate to find some loot. (This is optional, only if you are keen to find loot and you are equipped with Alohomora level three).
If not, continue on the path towards the right. And you will get to witness the phoenix again. Continue along the path.
As you climb up the path with the Spiders warning sign (I mean, why not), you will meet quite a number of those creepy crawlies. Use your arsenal to roast them, grill them, or smash barrels on them.
After defeating the spiders, as you proceed to the next massive chamber. Poachers will appear out of nowhere to ambush you. Of course, they are unaware of the fate of their friends (haha, fools!). So engage them in a heroic combat, as you toast them with Confringo or convert them into barrels and hurl them at their comrades. Or just pick up random obstacles and throw at them. This will be a bit difficult than the previous fights, since the poachers here are of a bit higher level.
Destroy the stone wall on the right of the lantern. If you cannot find it, cast Revelio. Continue along the path, until you exit the cave to reach the peak of the mountain.
You will find the phoenix perching majestically on top of a conical boulder in the middle of the area the cave opens up to.
Equip your Nab sack and catch the Phoenix.
Now head back to the Room of Requirement and talk to Deek.
Deek will ask you about the phoenix. You will open up your nab-sack and watch as the Phoenix flies around majestically.
Deek will get the feather that drops when the Phoenix flies. Poor guy has to hand over the feather to you since you are the one that rescued it. I am pretty sure, he wanted it for himself. His face says it all. Nevertheless, its your gain.
How to Tame the Phoenix in Hogwarts Legacy
You will unlock the Beast Care. To tame the Phoenix, you must feed it specially crafted beast feeds and brush it with a beast petting brush. You will learn how to tame beasts earlier in the game in the Beasts Class by Professor Howin.
If you want to refresh your memory, this is where you will find the Beasts class.
