Genshin Impact Version 3.1 Trailer
The trailer finally reveals to us the landscape of the desert and how its core design themes were mystery and technology. The ancient god of the Eremites who they mentioned in the first two Archon quests of Sumeru- The Scarlet King or King Deshret created an advanced technological civilisation. In Version 3.1 we can expect to learn its history and know how it came to ruin. We’ll also learn King Deshret’s relation with Lord Rukkhadevata who was the previous Dendro Archon.
We hardly see any slimes or fungi in the desert except in an oasis which has its own mysteries. We also see ancient ruins, hi-tech elite mobs and even the Eremites. There are also new desert creatures so players can look forward to hunting these for either food or materials. We see another giant ruin guard in the desert and we hope it isn’t part of another long World Quest because we’re sure most of us won’t even have completed the Aranyaka World Quest by the time Version 3.1 drops.
We’re introduced to the 3 upcoming playable characters and their play style. Candace and Cyno give off some serious badass vibes meanwhile Nilou looks gentle but still terrifying. We also meet the two new World bosses that have already been leaked but they look even scarier in the trailer.
Version 3.1’s Archon Quests will revolve around the Eremites, Akademiya and finally, and to no one’s surprise- the Fatui Harbingers. We see a brief appearance of Dottore and finally, we meet what looks like our next weekly boss- Scaramouche or the Wanderer.
The tone of the trailer then shifts to a more pleasant locale of Mondstadt where we meet Mika who’s already leaked to be playable in the future. There is a mention of Grand Master Varka and even Razor’s parents. We see Jean, Rosaria, Kaeya, Diluc and Diona all featured next. The scene then shifts to the Wind and Wine festival and we see Venti hanging out with our bros- Razor and Bennet along with our adorable bomb-enthusiast Klee and the Traveler with his trustee Paimon.
As for the events, we’re getting the main event Of Ballads and Brews which contains several sub-events for our players to enjoy including one that looks like managing a shop. We’re also having a rerun of Hyakunin Ikki and Wind Chaser which players will certainly welcome. We’re also getting a Sumeru event called Star-Seeker’s Sojourn.
There are also two new 5-star weapons and four new 4-star weapons in the upcoming patch the details of which are already leaked. Some names have however been changed. Instead of the 5-star sword being called Key of Hierophany, its new name is Key of Khaj-Nisut. Among the 4-stars, instead of the claymore being called Mahara Aquamarine, its new name is Makhaira Aquamarine. The free polearm Shifting Windblade has also been renamed as Missive Windspear.
The hype is back and players can look forward to this exciting new Version 3.1 update as it drops on September 28th, 2022. The new characters are coming after our primogems so be sure to claim your freemogems from the redemption codes as soon as possible. The desert looks amazing and we can’t wait to get our hearts broken from the next two Archon Quests.
