Elden Ring features a massive map and numerous caves and dungeons to explore. These caves are full of valuable items and sometimes powerful enemies. But players need to explore many of them to progress through the main story or any quest. Also, some of these caves are not mandatory, but players can explore them for some good loot.
Cave of Forlorn is one of those Caves that players need to explore to get some valuable items. In this cave, players will encounter a mini-boss named Misbegotten Crusader, and killing him will earn them a legendary weapon, Golden Order Greatsword, and 93000 Runes.
This guide will tell you what you can find inside the Cave of Forlorn in Elden Ring.
What to Get from the Cave of Forlorn in Elden Ring?
Cave of Forlorn is not an early game cave; instead, it is a cave that players will access much later in the game. After they reach Mountaintops of the Giants, players need to go to Consecrated Snowfield to find the Cave of Forlorn. But before you reach Mountaintops of the Giants, first, collect the two halves of Haligtree Secret Medallion and access the Grand Lift of Rold.
In this cave, there are not much enemies except for Misbegotten Crusader, whom you will find at the end of the cave. This cave is an optional cave that you can avoid if you want to. Exploring this cave or defeating Misbegotten Crusader won’t help you progress through the main story. But beating the Misbegotten Crusader will give you his legendary weapon, Golden order Greatsword, and some Runes. Therefore, it is worth exploring the cave and defeating the enemy.
That’s all you’ll get inside the Cave of Forlorn. The Cave of Forlorn is complicated to reach, so you can avoid it if you don’t want to go. However, if you want to achieve the Legendary Armament Trophy/ Achievement, you need to get the Golden Order Greatsword. Check out our guide if you are confused about visiting the cave or not.
