Affinity determines your chance of critical hits landing on your foes in Monster Hunter Rise. It is a weapon stat, and when equipped, can deal an extra 25% of critical hits. But this stat has its positives and negatives. If positive, you will deal more damage and have a stronger attack, while if it’s in the negatives, the chances of you performing a weaker attack are possible.
If you are looking to raise your affinity and get you more chances of having critical, stronger hits, then look out for talismans, armor pieces, or decoration, which focuses on increasing your weapon’s affinity.
