Survival RPG Elden Ring has many different types of creatures you will come across in the vast game map. This guide will take you through all the different types of Scarabs in the game.
Every Scarab Type Explained in Elden Ring
In the initial stages of Elden Ring, you will encounter a lot of creatures your way, so it’s easy to get overwhelmed. One of the critters you will come across are the Teardrop Scarabs, which are little bug-like creatures that run away from you. However, it is a good idea to chase and kill them before they despawn as they can give you decent rewards.

There are two types of Teardrop Scarabs in the game which are the Flask-Related and the Treasure-Related types. Within the Flask-Related type, you have the Crimson Scarab and the Cerulean Scarab. The Treasure-Related type is the Silver Scarab. Thus, there are three types of Teardrop Scarabs in the game.
Crimson Scarab
This is the first type of Flask-related Teardrop Scarab which has its characteristic red colour. This Scarab will fill your health flask when you catch it, and thus it’s a good way to keep your health up in the game while you’re exploring the map. They commonly spawn close to Lesser Erdtrees, but in general, they can appear anywhere.
Cerulean Scarab
The Cerulean Scarab is blue on the other hand, and refills your FP flask when killed. You will also find this creature around Lesser Erdtrees and elsewhere.
Silver Scarab
The only Treasure-Related Scarab in the game is silver in color and will drop special gear when caught, so do not miss it. Be careful while chasing this Scarab as you need to watch your step and not accidentally fall off a cliff to your death. They will drop items such as rare weapons and armor, or spells. They’re also usually heavily guarded by other mobs, so your best plan of action would be to take the Scarab out from a distance as the item will automatically enter your inventory.
