Like most part of the game such as unlocking door or opening a locker, players will also need to go through a series of tasks to obtain the Razor Blade. The activities involve switching between both the worlds. You need the Razor Blade to cut through the skin wall that’s blocking your path and progress in the game. How to Get the Razor Blade in The Medium
To get the Razor Blade in The Medium, you need to go to the second floor and walk down the hallway. There will be a brief cut scene. Soon after, there will be moths flying towards you, use the Spirit Shield to prevent any damage. After the moths have passed, continue waking down the hallway and you will come upon an intractable door that allows Out of Body Experience if you press B on your keyboard. Once you have passed through the door to the other side, look for the Odd Key and take it.
Now, exit the spirit world and go to the location where the moths attacked you. There is a locked door that you can use the key to open. Once the door is open, head inside and go past the bathroom. You will eventually come upon a room with missing floor portions. You need to jump into the hole on the ground, but before you do that interact with the phone near the window using your Insight Ability.
After you are done with the phone, get into the hole on the floor and look for intractable books. When you interact with the book it will trigger recollection from past. To complete the memory reconstruction, move a little. There will be a cut scene at this point.
Go outside and use the ledge to walk to the other side until you reach the skin wall. Use the Out of Body experience to enter the spirit world and bypass the force field. Move quickly through the ledge and enter a new room. There is an empty plant pot near the door of the room, the wall next to it has a small hole, look through it and a cut scene will trigger.
After the cut scene the door will open to the restroom. Go inside and drain the water from the bath and you will find the Razor Blade at the bottom. Now, return to the point of the skin wall and use the razor to cut through it.
