The Legend of Heroes: Trails to Azure Clear Data from Zero Not Working

Players have reported that even after completing the first game and saving a clear data file, the game does not recognize it when they try to import it into the sequel. This issue can be frustrating for those who want to continue the story with their progress from the previous game. One possible reason why the game does not recognize the clear data file is that it might not be stored in the right location.

Check Clear File Data

To fix this issue, players can try moving the clear data file to the correct location. In Trails from Zero, the clear data file is saved in the “My Documents” folder, but in Trails to Azure, the game looks for it in the “Saved Games” folder. To find the correct location for the clear data file, players need to navigate to the following directory: %USERPROFILE%\Saved Games\FALCOM\Zero.

Once in this directory, players should look for the clear data file and copy it to the corresponding directory in Trails to Azure.

The directory for Trails to Azure should look like this: %USERPROFILE%\Saved Games\FALCOM\Ao.

After copying the clear data file, players can try importing it again in Trails to Azure. If successful, the game should recognize the progress made in Trails from Zero and import it into the sequel.

Achievements Not Showing Up

Another issue that players encounter when playing Trails to Azure is the inability to unlock achievements despite transferring their Geofront save data. Players reported that even though the game recognizes the number of achievements they have unlocked, they do not pop up, no matter what they try to trigger them.

To unlock achievements when transferring Geofront save data, players need to follow a specific process. First, players should ensure that they have the Steam version of the game installed. Next, they need to launch Trails to Azure and start a new game. When prompted to select a save file, players should choose the one that corresponds to their transferred Geofront save data.

After selecting the transferred Geofront save data, players should play through the game until they reach a point where they can save their progress. Once saved, players should exit the game and verify the integrity of the game files in Steam.

This process can be done by right-clicking on the game in the Steam library and selecting “Properties.” From there, players should choose the “Local Files” tab and click on “Verify Integrity of Game Files.”

After verifying the game files, players should launch Trails to Azure again and load their transferred Geofront save data. At this point, the achievements should pop up, and players can continue playing the game with their progress from Trails from Zero

It is essential to keep in mind that game developers continuously update their games and fix bugs, so if the issue persists, players should check for updates and patches from the game’s developer.
