The Game Director of the Witcher 4 is Confirmed

Still, there is some time to see anything substantial about The Witcher 4. On Thursday morning, CD Projekt Red’s Sebastian Kalemba published a Tweet stating that he had been appointed to direct the new Witcher saga. Recently, it has been confirmed that Witcher 4 will be a trilogy of games.

According to Sebastian’s LinkedIn profile, he joined the Polish studio in October 2014. Initially, he served as the lead animator for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and Cyberpunk 2077. Later, he was promoted to the head of the company’s animation. Before he was appointed the game director, he spent 15 months as a creative director.

Sebastian tweeted that he is directing the new Witcher Saga. After joining CD Projekt Red, he believes nothing is impossible and raises the bar. He is here to tell emotional stories and create worlds. He is proud to be part of CDPR and work with this talented and passionate team.

There is still some time until we get our hands on The Witcher 4. The game has just entered pre-production. Besides, Piotr Nielubowicz, the chief financial officer of Projekt Red, has said that the bulk of the studio’s production capacity is getting used to develop the upcoming Phantom Liberty expansion for Cyberpunk 2077.

The good news is that the developer has more than one Witcher game planned for the future. Adam Kiciński, the president of CD Projekt, raised the prospect of a new saga of the franchise with The Witcher 4. Recently CD Projekt also announced a full-fledged remake of the original The Witcher game had entered production using Unreal Engine 5.
