You will need some Starlight Shards to buy puppet spirit ashes from Preceptor Seluvis. You can find Seluvis at Seluvis’s Rise in Liurnia and after investigating his secret puppet laboratory he will offer you to sell some of them in exchange for Starlight Shards. You can also consume them to recover your HP gradually.
There are various locations to find Starlight Shards in the Lands Between.
Weeping Peninsula – at the Cliffside, find the altar and you can spot one Starlight Shard here
Limgrave – From the Agheel Lake South Site of Grace, head southeast towards the cliffs. Climb up to spot a crescent stone statue and one Starlight Shard next to it.
Stormhill – West side of the map, at the edge of the cliffs, there is one Starlight Shard.
Celid – one Starlight Shard will be gifted by Sorceress Sellen at the Waypoint Ruins cellar. There is one more at the northwest part of Caelid, where the stone chalice is. You can find another one at the southeast part of Caelid, where the monument of a cracked cup is.
Mt. Gelmir – Near the edge of the Fallingstar Beast arena, you can get here from the Ninth Mt. Gelmir Capsite Site of Grace. You can find one Starlight Shard here.
Liurnia of the Lakes – Visit the cliffs east of Lirnia, south from Artist’s Shack. Go to the Cliffside facing Gate Town Bridge and Academy Gate Town, you will spot a crescent stone statue. You can find one Starlight Shard here.
Altus Plateau – Get to the Shaded Castle and go behind it to spot the sundial near the cliffs and one Starlight Shard.
Mountaintops of the Giants – Head east of Flame Peak till you reach the cliffs. Locate the crescent stone statue and one Starlight Shard.
Greyoll’s Dragonbarrow – Head northeast from the Farum Greatbridge Site of Grace to find one stone statue and one Starlight Shard.
Cathedral of Manus Celes – Visit all the Sites of Graces here to collect 10 Starlight Shards. There is 1 Starlight Shard at the cliffs.
