Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) is a popular classic first-person shooter game that is known for its precision and competitive gameplay. However, some gamers encounter mouse acceleration issues when attempting to aim skills in the game. Mouse acceleration is a feature that affects how your cursor moves on the screen relative to your physical mouse movements. It is crucial to disable this feature in CS2 because it can lead to inconsistent aiming, making it difficult to achieve precise shots. Well, like many other players, are you also experiencing the same issue in CS2? Worry not and stick to this guide. Here we show you all potential methods to fix it.

How to Fix the CS2 Mouse Acceleration Issue

CS2 mouse acceleration issue mainly occurs due to conflicts between Windows configuration and the in-game settings. Thankfully, there are a few things you can try to fix.

Disable Enhanced Pointer Precision

The very first method we recommend to fix the CS2 mouse acceleration issue is to disable enhanced pointer precision.

– First of all, close the game completely and make sure it is not running in the background as well.

– Then, go to the Control Panel

– Go to the Windows Control Panel.

– Click on “Hardware and Sound.”

– Under “Devices and Printers,” click on “Mouse.”

– In the Mouse Properties window, go to the “Pointer Options” tab.

– Uncheck the box that says “Enhance pointer precision.”

– Click “Apply” and then “OK” to save the changes.

Adjust Windows Mouse Sensitivity

You can also adjust the Windows mouse sensitivity to fine-tune your mouse’s performance. A lower sensitivity setting will reduce the effects of mouse acceleration. To do this:

– Go to the Windows Control Panel.

– Click on “Hardware and Sound.”

– Under “Devices and Printers,” click on “Mouse.”

– In the Mouse Properties window, go to the “Pointer Options” tab.

– Move the “Pointer Speed” slider down to a lower sensitivity level.

– Click “Apply” and then “OK” to save the changes.

After going through these steps, you should be able to fix the CS2 mouse acceleration issue.
