The Taiwanese rating board of PlayStation 5 has rated Silent Hill: The Short Message PG-15. Konami has not officially announced Silent Hill: The Short Message for PS5, but a rating usually indicates an announcement or release is on its way. The game was previously rated in Korea in September.
It was not only the acceptance of the rating by the South Korean board that implied the game’s release, but several leaks circulating on the internet suggested Silent Hill: The Game had been released. After this brief playable demo or new game failed to appear during the transmission, many fans assumed Konami had cancelled it.
The new rating in Taiwan, however, confirms that the game was not cancelled and will be released soon. Silent Hill fans will be excited to see how things unfold. Konami will have a lot of surprises in store for Silent Hill fans, but only time will tell.
New artwork and description have been added to the rating. They read as follows:
Anita came to an abandoned apartment in order to meet her friend Maya, and somehow woke up to find herself trapped in it. She must escape her own fears and the monsters lurking in the corridors, discover the truth behind the events she’s trapped in, and try to escape before her own trauma consumes her will to survive.
From the writing on the wall, which appears to be post-its, the key art depicts an atmosphere strikingly similar to the Project Sakura leak. Despite not providing any further information on The Short Message, the rating does indicate that the game will be released on PlayStation 5. Since Silent Hill 2 is also a PlayStation exclusive game, it is not surprising that The Short Message appears to be a PlayStation exclusive.
A release date has not been confirmed, nor has the game’s status been confirmed. Silent Hill: The Short Message, on the other hand, has already been rated both in Taiwan and South Korea.
