Samsung seems to be acknowledging what its customers seek and is catering exactly to that. With the popularity of its Stylus and foldable devices being in demand more than ever, Samsung plans to release Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy S21 Ultra in the first half of next year.
So What Does It Mean –
Simply put it means, Samsung is no longer pushing for the next model in Note Series, which would have been the Galaxy Note 21. But instead, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy S21 Ultra both will support the widely popular S Pen from Samsung.
Samsung flagships to expect this year:
S21 FE
S21
S21+
S21 Ultra
Z Fold 3
Z Flip 3
Z Fold FE

What to Expect –
Galaxy Z Fold 3
Expected Release: June, 2021
The specifications haven’t been finalized but nothing less will be expected than the technical features that Galaxy Z Fold 2 currently boasts of like the 7.6-inch main display, 120Hz refresh rate, hinge offerings like Z Flip, 4500mAh battery amongst others.
But some newer design features can include –
- Under –Display Selfie Camera (First on this device)
- Scratch-resistant UTG cover layer
- Holder for S Pen
Galaxy S 21 Ultra
Expected Release: March, 2021
The Galaxy S21 Ultra features which seem to have been confirmed through multiple sources include –
- Display of 6.8-inch WQHD+ LTPO.
- Snapdragon 875 or Exynos 2100 processor.
- Camera options like Ultra wide: 12MP Main: 108MP, Gen 2 sensor 3X Optical: 10MP, 10X Optical: 10MP.
- 5G, Wi-Fi 6E connectivity.
With these newer models, Samsung looks to focus more on premium user experience –
With their second-generation ultra-thin glass, Samsung will be able to make the S Pen work on their flexible screens and the S Pen holder (not available on S21 Ultra) will create an uninterrupted display experience.
Additionally, its first under-display camera (UDC) will cement its position as the new flagship.
Earlier the screens weren’t able to support UDC but industry insiders say that the Korean giants have now succeeded and will bring this to their models moving forward. This means the punch hole camera will no longer be present which seemed to create some aesthetic anomaly previously.
Z Fold 2 in itself was a big improvement over Z Fold and with newer improved model launches every six months; Samsung seems to be pushing the boundaries even further.
