Most NPCs have certain quests to give you upon meeting them, but you need to locate them first. Here we will see where to find Rya in Elden Ring.

Certain conditions need to be met to complete Rya’s quest. You will have to meet her in specific locations in specific order to get the most out of her and other NPCs’ quests. You will have to first find her in Liurnia of the Lakes before advancing to Volcano Manor, where she resides. You can find her at the east side of the Scenic Isle Site of Grace, inside the pavilion there. Upon speaking to her, you will get the quest to speak to Blackguard Big Boggart. If you meet her at Volcano Manor straight away and miss out on Liurnia, you will not be able to befriend Big Boggart. You will need him to advance through Dung Eater’s quests and get the alternative ending to the game.
After Liurnia, travel to the Grand Lift of Dectus to reach Altus Plateau to talk to her there. She will lead the way to Volcano Manor. You can interact with her after accepting Tanith’s assassination quests. With each defeat, talk to Rya to know more about her and the mysteries surrounding Volcano Manor. Towards the end, before killing Rykard, Lord of Blasphemy, find her in Legacy Dungeon of the Manor. You have the choice to talk to her, kill her, or put her to sleep. If you decide on the first option, she will leave the Manor after Rykard’s death and leave Zorayas’ Letter and the Daedicar’s Woe, whereas if you kill her straightaway you will just be left with the Daedicar’s Woe, and putting her to sleep leaves you nothing. This also ends her quest. If you have killed Rykard before meeting Rya in the Dungeon, she will leave the manor and you won’t be able to complete her quest.
