The Rotten Crystal Sword is ideal if your character scales high on Strength and Intelligence and causes bleed buildup. To find this straight sword, you will have to venture into Elphael, Brace of the Haligtree, near the Elphael Inner Wall’s Site of Grace. Take the stairs down near the Site of Grace and take a left. Get over the rubble here and you will find 3 Crystallians guarding a chest. Take them out and you can and the Rotten Crystal Sword inside.
To get to Elphael, Brace of the Haligtree, you will need to activate the Grand Lift of Rold by finding both halves of the Haligtree Secret Medallion. Head over to the Consecrated Snowfield and solve the puzzle at Ordina, Liturgical Town and get the portal to go to Haligtree. Defeat Loretta, Knight of the Haligtree, who you can find in Miquella’s Haligtree to gain access to the lift that will take you down to Elphael. Then head over to the room closest to the Erdtree Avatar to find the Inner Wall Site of Grace.
The Rotten Crystal Sword needs 13 in Strength, 10 in Dexterity, and 15 in Intelligence to wield it. It has a special weapon skill called Spinning Slash that slashes enemies as you spin. It also causes Scarlet Rot Buildup and can be upgraded by using Somber Smithing Stones. You cannot infuse this weapon with Ash of War or Magic.
