Unlike its predecessor, Rogue Legacy 2 has an option to place your coins in a Living Safe when not in use. There is no amount to how much you can keep in it, and you can keep as little or as much as you want for safekeeping. This is quite handy before a run where you will spend unnecessary coins and lose them all.
To get the Living Safe, you will first need to unlock the Ranger Class. You can unlock the Ranger by working your way through the skill tree till you can get that option. Next, you will need to upgrade your health at the Mess Hall. You can find it also at your skill tree, but it will cost you a couple more coins to get there. Once you have met all the prerequisites, you will be given an option to unlock the Living Safe.
