The Caustic Sprawl is a variant coming from the Chimera Mutation. The Chimera Mutation is a parasite that drastically changes its environment and makes it more dangerous during each Incursion. Caustic Sprawls are a darker green color than their counterpart and can enable enemy Archaeans to speed up and use these sprawls for their advantage. Since health doesn’t regenerate in Rainbow Six Extraction, you will need to avoid getting caught up in one.
Caustic Sprawls come from enemy Archaeans, mainly their Nests that can be found around the map. Clearing out these Nests is the best way to go, but wastes a lot of ammo in the process. It is best to go about the map and clear out the sprawls as you find them on your path instead. Just shooting at them will help, or even using a mine or laser weapon will do. Some enemies will leak out Caustic Sprawl Overflow, which will interact with the environment and damage you and your team greatly. In that case, you will have to take the enemy Archaean down and then clear your path to get out.
Ammo is precious in the game, so if you come across a Caustic Sprawl, it is best to avoid it in Rainbow Six Extraction. If you liked this guide make sure you also check out all our other guides on the site.
