Genshin Impact recently released their initial Patch Notes for Version 3.0, and it introduces much quality of life changes for the game that players have wanted for a while. One of these even confirms a previous leak we’d covered about more team slots in the team setup system. These changes are aimed at making the player experience better and solving some issues that players had earlier with the game.
List of All Quality of Life Changes in Genshin Impact Version 3.0
Quality of life changes are improvements to the game that improve the overall player experience. It makes elements of the game more convenient and more easily accessible. The following are the changes we’re getting in Version 3.0.
- Increases the number of party compositions pre-set in the “Party Setup” menu to 10. In addition, access to “Configure Team” has also been added to the “Party Setup” menu. Travelers can use various shortcuts to disband existing party setups, etc. This confirms our previous leaks about this, so we’re most likely getting this for sure in Version 3.0.
- Increases the “My Friends” limit from 45 to 60. While this increase is not a lot, it’s still an improvement.
- Adds the function to show the source of 5-star artifacts and to redirect to the corresponding Domain. This will help players farm the respective artifacts directly without searching for the domain that has them. This will be especially useful to beginner and early-game players.
- “Talent Reference” will no longer be displayed for trial characters in the “Character > Talents” menu.
- Optimizes the “Wish > Details” and “Wish > History” menu layouts. The change to ‘Wish History’ is welcome as it’s difficult for players to scroll through pages and pages of wishes to figure out their pity or last 5-star. This will also help the beginner players understand the wish system better because the current ‘Details’ page is a complicated wall of text in small letters. All of these are of course only relevant if the changes do fix these above elements.
- You can now adjust horizontal and vertical sensitivity respectively in “Camera Sensitivity” and “Camera Sensitivity (Aimed Shot Mode)” in “Settings > Controls” on PC, mobile, PS5™, and PS4™. This will hopefully make the aiming mode more polished and dynamic. Mobile players can hope to now play bow users provided the changes are useful.
- Updates some features in the “Paimon Menu > Feedback” system.
- Adjusts the pause logic of “Interaction in Certain Gameplay Modes” (corresponding to the T key on the keyboard): The cooldown of interaction in certain gameplay modes is now suspended when the game is paused in single-player mode.
The above changes are still part of the Initial Patch Notes so we’ll have to see if are finally added in Version 3.0 or not. Genshin Impact has been known to skip adding some of the changes in their previous patch notes like the one about deleting old quest content to reduce the game size which was supposed to be added to Version 2.8 but it wasn’t. We can still expect to see a majority of the above changes in Version 3.0 when it finally comes out tomorrow.
