At the beginning of the game, when you set Death’s Door ON, then you and your companions won’t die instantly when you have zero health. Alternatively, you will obtain a passive which is called ‘Death’ Door’
And as long as they are in an unfavourable condition, they will not die. Instead, you can pick your companion up and try to help them make sure they don’t get destroyed during combat.
On the other hand, if you will set it Death’s Door Off, they will die when their health reaches Zero. You can’t pick them up and also, you won’t get any chance to heal them in the mid of the fight. You can’t use them and furthermore, you will be stuck to work out how to handle the worst situation during the battle.
However, it is important to note that, if you will set Death’s Door On or Off if the main character dies, your game is finished then and there.
