Legacy Credits are nothing but your previous Overwatch Credits that are carried over to the new game. Any existing credit from the old game will now be called Legacy Credit in the new one. Currently, this is the only way you can get Legacy Credit, and they can only be used to purchase old skins and cosmetic items. Once you use it up, it is gone forever, so you should think hard before using Legacy Credits in Overwatch 2.
To get Legacy Credits, you don’t have to do much besides updating the previous game to the latest Overwatch 2 version and using the same Battle.net account in both games. Everything that you owned in Overwatch will be carried over, including Overwatch Credits, which are now Legacy Credits. To purchase a skin using these credits, head over to the Heroes tab and select which Hero you would like to buy the skin for. Keep scrolling till you can find a skin that uses Legacy Credits, then click on the buy button. You can also go to the in-game store to purchase cosmetic items the same way.
