It is near impossible for any game to be 100% absolutely fine without bugs and errors. NFS (Need for Speed) Unbound is also following a similar analogy as many players have been reporting a lot of bugs and errors with the game such as the controller not working or the game crashing, won’t start, and much more. Adding to these issues, many NFS gamers are now complaining that they are running into an accelerating issue. According to several reports, players are unable to accelerate their cars after a certain speed which is a very annoying issue as it kills overall car racing fun. If you are experiencing the same issue and wondering if there is any fix to resolve this problem, go through this guide.
Is It Possible to Fix NFS Cars Not Accelerating Issue
Many players say they tried playing the racing game again, and even though they have changed from automatic transmission to manual, still the problem exists.
Unfortunately, at the time of writing this post, there is no proper fix for this issue. However, there are a few steps you can take to make sure the issue is not from your side.
1. First of all, make sure multiple joysticks or controllers are not connected to your system. If your system has more than one controller or joystick, then remove them once and then try again accelerating in NFS Unbound.
2. Also, try to clean and boot your system once, and then the accelerating issue should be fixed.
3. If that doesn’t work too, try changing your controllers or keyboard.
4. If everything else fails, try uninstalling the game completely and then reinstalling it.
If nothing worked, don’t panic as many other players are suffering from the same issue. Now, the issue must be from the developer’s side. Hopefully, the solid fix will be released by the developers soon in their future upcoming updates.

This is really not a smart guide!
I have footpedal over USB recognized as gaming device (can be used for any macros).
I have flight stick for flight simulators – disconnected – but I have installed VJoy (virtual joystick driver) and that is kernel and you don’t want to remove it.
I have connected a supported Thrustmaster Steering Wheel.
Even keyboard does this accelerate issue.
In-game controls does not contain any remap and there is only XBox controller on the picture.
Your advice would mean discarding hours of work and customization only to mitigate poor developer work.
Luckily I’m on EA Pro subscription, did not buy game, and can cancel the second week.
i am facing the same issue but with keyboard only. no matter if its my laptop’s or razer huntsman i still faced this issue.
