Firing Range is coming back to Modern Warfare 2. In this mode, players will get a chance to try out the in-game weapons before heading to an actual match. This way players can know how each gun feels and handles without having to sacrifice their K/D ratio.
The Firing Range was first spotted in Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare. It allowed gamers to test the weapons in a virtual room. The next implementation of a Firing Range was in 2017’s Call of Duty: World War II. After 2017, no CoD game featured the Firing Range. Parts of it surfaced only as a part of a tutorial. Gamers have always requested this mode, and the developers seem to have listened.
More details about the Firing Range in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
The Firing Range will be available in Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer and the upcoming Warzone sequel. Players can try out different weapons and attachments by trying their shots at different practice targets. The Firing Range can be accessed by any player via the Gunsmith menu in the game. This mode will be unlocked from the beginning of the game, meaning players of all levels can access it.
The Firing Range should immensely help gamers in customizing their loadout as it will give gamers an exact idea of how each attachment affects the gun’s controls and handling. Until today, an idea had to be made by looking at the stats that changed on a table when attachments were added. Thus, it was not possible to test a weapon without hopping into a Call of Duty multiplayer match. This was a tedious process and is also capable of destroying the K/D ratios in case the attachments are not what players expected.
The upcoming Modern Warfare title seems to be promising as it is including several features that make it easier for the fans to enjoy the game. The open beta begins tomorrow, September 16.
