Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II is one of the most anticipated video games of 2022. In this sequel to 2019’s reboot, Task Force 141 will fight together against all odds. This game is being developed by Infinity Ward, Beenox, Treyarch, Raven Software, Sledgehammer Games, Raven Software, and more. Together it will be one of the largest projects of this year.
Recently, Activision announced that the gamers who digitally pre-ordered the game will get to play the campaign up to a week early. Apart from early access to the open beta, this will be another incentive to encourage gamers to pre-order the title.
When will the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 campaign unlock for pre-orders?
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 releases on October 28 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and Series S and PC. Gamers who digitally pre-ordered this title get to play the game from October 20, more than a week early, depending on where they live.
It is worth noting that the campaign early access will be available to players who bought it via the Xbox and PlayStation digitial stores, and Battle.net or Steam clients on PC.
According to Call of Duty, the Modern Warfare 2 campaign will be one of the most breathtaking experiences from the developers.
“This Campaign features missions in Europe, Asia, and the Americas, and is set to be an incredible experience on numerous levels: offshore sieges with underwater combat, all-out explosive assaults from 30,000 feet above enemy strongholds, and high-stakes, low-profile stealth missions in both plain sight and under the cover of darkness.”

Apart from the campaign early access, Call of Duty gamers will who pre-ordered the upcoming title will get early access to the open beta phase of the game. The open beta will start a month before the title launches. The open beta will eventually be available to gamers on all platforms, irrespective of whether they bought the game.
Activision is yet to announce more details on this game. An event dedicated to this upcoming game is scheduled on September 15. The company is also expected to drop more details on the next Call of Duty: Warzone and the Call of Duty: Warzone mobile.
