Guardians of the Galaxy has a lot of unique features like choice-based narrative, the customizable combat system, and also new abilities for Guardians. This game is fillup with various types of choices. These choices sometimes decide the direction the game will progress through. Among these so many choices, one is to choose between doing the math or ignoring it.
Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Choice – Do the Math or Ignore the Math
In chapter 2 of the game, Star-Lord finds the 12-year-old daughter of Kor-El, Nikki. Because Star-Lord and Kor-El used to be together at that time, he thinks that the child is his daughter. Now, the game gives you two choices- do the math or ignore it.
If you choose to do the math, Star-Lord will speak out that he thinks Nikki is his daughter. In reply, Kor-El will say that peter hasn’t changed a bit. You’ll end up paying the fine in three cycles- depending on your earlier choice you might have to pay 7k or 8k for smuggling.
If you choose not to do the math, Star-Lord asks Wookie if he wants to return or not. Wookie, then, will choose to be with Kor-El.
This choice doesn’t change anything except for the conversations. There are no long-lasting serious consequences of this choice. Therefore, you can choose whatever you want. No matter what you choose, you have to pay the fine based on your earlier decision. So, it doesn’t matter if you do the math or ignore it.
If you become confused while playing the game, you can read this guide to know the results of your choices.
