Job Listing Suggests Level 5 May Return to the Western Markets with New Game in 2023

Level-5, the studio behind beloved franchises such as Ni No Kuni and Yo-Kai Watch, may be making a return to the western gaming market. The studio, which scaled back its operations outside of Japan in late 2020, had previously focused on the Japanese market. However, a recent job listing on the company’s official website hints at a possible return to global distribution.

The job listing, which is seeking applicants to help the studio “maximize the business scale as a content holder and actively develop Level-5’s IP not only in Japan but also on a global scale,” has sparked speculation among fans and industry analysts alike. The mention of a “global scale” in the listing suggests that the studio is looking to once again develop games for a worldwide audience.

This news comes as a welcome surprise for fans of Level-5’s franchises, who have been eagerly awaiting new content from the studio. The Ni No Kuni series, in particular, has a dedicated fanbase that has been clamoring for a new entry in the series. The last entry in the series, Ni No Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom, was released in 2018 and received widespread critical acclaim.

Level-5’s 25th Anniversary: A new game may be announced

The studio is set to celebrate its 25th anniversary this year, and it would make sense for them to mark the occasion with a major new game release. Level-5 has not officially confirmed any plans to return to the western market or announced a new game. However, the job listing and the studio’s upcoming anniversary have many fans hopeful that they will hear more news in the near future.

In the meantime, fans of Level-5’s franchises can look forward to the release of Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road of Heroes, which the studio has announced will be released in honor of their 25th anniversary. The game is a remake of the original Inazuma Eleven game and is set to be released on the Nintendo Switch in Japan on February 25, 2023.

Fans have also taken to social media and forums to express their hopes for a new Dark Cloud game. The series, which debuted in 2000, has a dedicated fanbase that has been clamoring for a new entry in the series.

Many fans have suggested that Level-5 should consider developing a third installment in the series or even remaking the first two games. As Level-5 has not confirmed any plans for a new Dark Cloud game, fans can only hope that the studio will take their requests into consideration and give the series the attention it deserves.
