Sons of the Forest is a survival horror game that is amps up surviving and horrors. Surviving means making traps, acquiring weapons, food and water. And it does so not only in case of the game and its atmosphere that includes dark tunnels, that will traumatize people with claustrophobia, monsters that will give you nightmares, hordes of hungry cannibals, sharks that will dig out that buried fear from the days of Subnautica and a lot more, but also with its quests.

So, in a survival horror game, the survival is equally important. And you know what happens when our hunting skills are low? And we have been born in urban areas. We are unable to hunt in the beginning, at least not enough to fill our tummies. So, we rely on natural resources and vegetation and canned food. To get the canned food, you would need a can-opener. But for other food sources, there are mushrooms available. And one of the most common is Hydnum Repandum. So where do you find Hydnum Repandum in Sons of the Forest. This article will help you out.

Where to find Hydnum Repandum in Sons of The Forest

This mushroom is very common and if you go around in the campsite, you will find them lying around. Refer to the screenshots for reference. If you walk around in the campsite, and look at the ground, you might notice a question mark with ‘E’ popping up, that is, it needs your action. That would turn out to be the sought after Hydnum Repandum.

This mushroom occurs in several places all in a very short radius around the campsite you set up. So go around and make sure you collect them. Do use the screenshots and the GPS markers in them for better reference and precision.

The best part about these mushrooms is that you can eat them raw. So, if you are hungry, and you find these lying around, just pluck them and pop them right in. Why? Because sanitation and hygiene are utopian concepts. Nothing like a bit of diarrhoea on an island filled with monsters and cannibals. Jokes aside, these mushrooms are seriously helpful if you are low on food. So, make sure you collect them as you come across them.
