While creating your Ballplayer, you would keep a specific style in mind on how they will play in your team. This will help make advancements in your career. Here we will see how Ballplayers work and some ways to upgrade them in MLB the Show 22.

When creating your Ballplayer, you will have to assign an Archetype. You can select which Archetype you would like your player to have, and along with it, you will get added perks. This will also give you an idea of which area your Ballplayer will likely succeed in. You can check what Archetype you have assigned by clicking on the Loadout menu in the top left corner of the main menu. Here you can assign Archetypes based on fielding, speed, and power, while also assigning perks.
To upgrade an Archetype, choose your preferred Loadout and select Square/ X/ Y on your respective console’s controller. This will bring up the item menu where you can place your points in the desired areas. To get more XP to spare, you will have to keep playing through the missions in Diamond Dynasty or Road to the Show. With each win, you will get rewards. The more rewards you unlock the better your Archetype will be and you can soon unlock the next level of that Archetype.
