Minecraft Dungeons has official ended its beta and the game is released. The title follows a similar environment aesthetics to its blocky cousin the Minecraft. But unlike the original game, there is no building involved in the game. Instead, players can jump into the game solo or as a team of four to defeat the mini-bosses at various levels and ultimately the evil boss Arch Illager. There are several secret levels in the game including Underhalls, other secret levels include Moo, Creepy Crypt, Soggy Cave, and Arch Haven. In this guide, we will teach you how to unlock the Underhall secret level in Minecraft Dungeons.

The game also has a backstory, but there is nothing much to it. The Arch Illager is an outcaste villager who comes in possession of evil powers and with his evil army, he wants to conquer the world one village at a time. It’s in your capabilities to stop and defeat the boss.

Underhalls Secret level in Minecraft Dungeons

The Underhalls secret level cannot be unlocked until you reach the Highblock Hall. It’s one of the later locations in the game and is a part of the Arch Illager’s home, which consist of other main locations. So, in order to reach this stage of the game your level should be around 21 or 22. Once you complete the main eight levels in the game namely Creeper Woods, Creepy Crypt, Soggy Swamp, Pumpkin Pastures, Redstone Mines, Cacti Canyon, Fiery Forge, and Desert Temple, you can head towards the Highland Hall which consists of the Underhalls secret level.

Once you enter the Highblock Hall, progress through the game hacking and slashing enemies and Illagers who pass you. The layout of missions for different players is randomly brought together, so the exact same path might not apply in the case. However, we have seen certain things remain the same, which can help you unlock the Underhalls level and reap bountiful rewards.

As you progress through the game, you will come across a double-staircase leading to a bottom floor. Head down the staircase and you will find a door with a shield on either side as shown in the below image.

You can interact with the left-shield, which will open a teleportation door that leads you into a room. The secret door to the hidden level appears early on the game. However, try to interact with any and every shield you encounter in the game besides staircase until you find the hidden room.

Once you are in the room, go to the pedestal and pick up the scroll laying in front of you. There are no enemies in the room, simply picking up the scroll will unlock the hidden level – Underhalls for you. Don’t forget to press the D-pad to open the Highblock Hall in the Map.

Loot in Underhalls Secret Level – Minecraft Dungeons

There are a range of weapons, armor, and artifacts for the grabs if you find the secret level. Here is a list of them.

Weapons

1. Mace – Allows you to perform two swings on the side and an overhead smash on the enemy. It does high damage, but is a slow attack. The area of the swing is limited so use it when mobs are up close.
2. Great Hammer – A common melee weapon in the game with the ability of splash damage. Another weapon you can use on nearby mobs.
3. Power Bow – A type of ranged weapon, the Power Bow has 47-95 damage and can have special effects when enchanted with enchantments.

Armors

1. Soul Robe – One of the several armors in Minecraft Dungeons. The armor can be upgraded and have special abilities when upgraded with Enchantments.

Artifacts

1. Fireworks Arrow – This arrow replaces the normal arrow with a weapon that explodes. The Fireworks Arrow must to equipped in order for you to use it.  
2. Iron Hide Amulet – An artifact in the game that provides a boost to defense temporarily.
3. Totem of Shielding – The Totem of Shielding is an artifact in the game that protects or shield from ranged attacks of enemies.
