When you first reach the boss door, you will need a certain set of moves to unlock it. Here we will see how to get the first boss door to open in Rogue Legacy 2.

After a couple of tries of successfully passing through the castle, you will come across the door to the first boss’s lair. Unfortunately, if you don’t have the required skills, you won’t be able to unlock them. The two skills you need are inner demon and upgraded dash abilities. You will need the inner demon ability to figure out what the glowing blue icons in the castle mean, while air dash will help you get the door to open up.
Getting both these abilities will take a bit of time, as both of them appear at random throughout the castle. For each character, you spawn as the layout will change. To get the dash ability, you will need to complete the Power of Momentum trail and get Ananke’s Shawl. As for the inner demon’s ability, you will complete the Power of Empathy trail.
Once you have unlocked them both, you can now head over to the boss’s door. You will know you have reached it when you spot two lanterns beside the entrance having red crystals inside. To activate the lanterns and gain access to the front entrance, you will need to jump and spin kick on the first lantern, then dash and spin-kick the second lantern. You should get both lanterns burning to open the door.
