There are three filters currently in the game, but each of them costs some Studs and one Datacard. There are 20 Datacards to find in the game and we have various guides on where to locate them, such as the ones at Echo Base and the Federal District. Also, each Filter can cost anywhere from 250,000 to 500,000 Studs to purchase.
After having this all down, open the holo-projector and go to Extras. Find the tab for Visual Modes. You can find the three filters here. Below we will describe what each one does and how much it costs to unlock them.
- Hologram Mode – Adds a hologram effect on characters and ships, and can be stacked upon any one of the two other filters. Costs – Datapad x1, 500,000 Studs
- Television Mode – Applies a filter from the Black and White era to the entire game. Can be stacked with Hologram Mode. Costs – Datapad x1, 250,000 Studs
- Retro Mode – Applies an 80’s retro look to the entire game. Can be stacked with Hologram Mode. Costs – Datapad x1, 250,000 Studs
Note that both Television Mode and Retro Mode cannot be stacked on top of each other, so you can only use any one of these two filters. Also, you can turn the filter on or off anytime in the Extras menu.
