Luckily for players of Monster Hunter Rise, there is an in-built autosave option in the game. To know if your game is being saved, look for a green owl on your screen, somewhere in the bottom right corner. The autosave function operates once the quest is complete or if any setting has been changed in the options menu. Autosave also works if you forge or upgrade your equipment.
If you would prefer to save your game manually, you go to the main menu and click on the options tab under the system. Click on the Save option to save your game manually. You can also turn off your autosave function here if you like.
You should keep in mind that if you want to save your progress, you cannot do it while in the mission itself. It should be done before or after the quest, whether you decide to finish it or abandon it. Kamura Village is the only location where you can save manually.
