Along with Axis Invasions, which is more PVP than co-op, Sniper Elite 5 offers two co-op modes to play with friends. You can choose to play in either Campaign or Survival mode. In campaign mode, you can play as a duo and follow Karl Fairburne’s storyline while dealing with the in-game missions. In Survival mode, you work together in a squad to defend your given area from enemy invasions, and try to outlast the horde as it gets increasingly difficult. If you plan on playing in Campaign co-op, you should note that it will start a fresh save file and will take you and your friend to the beginning of the story. You cannot start campaign mode and play in-between the storyline.
To select your co-op mode, you can go to the main menu of the game, select the Play option on top, then either select Host Co-Op for Campaign, or select Survival co-op. Also, don’t forget to send an invitation to your friends. You can change the settings on how you wish to play after selecting the mode, so you can play at a pace that works for you and your friends.
