Unfortunately, Lost Ark does not have a setting in-game where you can cap or limit the FPS, so you will have to do this externally. Here we will see how to limit or cap FPS in Lost Ark.
You can set the FPS limit to max setting from the NVIDIA control panel.
- Go to NVIDIA control panel
- Select the tab 3D Settings > Manage 3D Settings
- Select Program Settings > Select a program
- Choose Lost Ark from the list. If you cannot find Lost Ark, click on the Add button and select the LostArk Client.
- Find the option to Specify Settings > Select Max Frame Rate
It is best to reduce the frame rate by 1 or 2 values below your monitor’s refresh rate to avoid screen tearing.
To cap the frame rate, you will need a third-party application like RivaTuner. This is applicable to use on both AMD and NVIDIA graphic cards. To use RivaTuner, you will first have to download and install the application. After doing that, you will have to launch it. In the pop-up window, change the following settings after adding Lost Ark Client.
- Start with Windows: On
- Stealth mode: On
- Frame rate limit: (set frame rate)
- Apply changes
Restart your computer for all changes to take effect. You can now play Lost Ark with FPS cap and limit.
