Invasions are a significant part of the gameplay in Sniper Elite 5, much like the predecessor Sniper Elite 4. The game allows players to infiltrate another player’s session as a hostile enemy and take them down. This guide will take you through the process of how to invade players in Sniper Elite 5.
How to Invade Other Players’ Bases in Sniper Elite 5
This gaming mechanism seems to be inspired by Japanese studio From Software’s Souls games’ mechanic where players can raid other players who have signed up for a similar type of gameplay. This makes the game all the more invigorating with the prospect of raiding or being ambushed at any given time.

In Sniper Elite 5, your opponents will be an Axis soldier and a Jager sniper and you will need to take them down in order for the invasion to be a successful one. Note that during PvP play, the sentient enemy of the environment might also come up at any time, which are the NPCs trying to take down all players.
If you wish to invade another player, you will first need to select the option from the Options menu so that you provide consent to be invaded in return as well. You can leave it off if you think it’s too risky, and would rather play at your own pace. This is an option that can be toggled on and off, so you should turn it on only when you think you’re ready.
To begin invading, all you have to do is select Play under which the Axis Invasion option. This will trigger the matchmaking system and match you up to a host who will be alerted of an invader’s presence in the game—however, they will not receive any more information leaving it up to you to surprise them.
