How to Increase Inventory Space in Everspace 2
It goes without saying, you are as powerful as your gear in Everspace 2 and the larger the inventory size, the better chance you have against the odds in the vast universe. Loot is a catalyst in the game that prompts players to explore every nook and corner in the universe. Almost everything in the game offers loot from asteroids, ship wrecks, enemies, etc.
If you keep acquiring all the things you get in the game, the inventory space will run out sooner than an hour in the game. The inventory only has 18 slots, which is very less to say the least. However, the game does provide you opportunity or ways to increase the cargo space or inventory size.
As mentioned earlier, you will want to purchase Cargo Units from Trading Outposts. The trading outposts are scatted through the Everspace 2 universe and so far we know that each of them have at least one Cargo Unit you can purchase.
Besides increasing the cargo space, the first Cargo Unit also unlocks crafting in the game. Yes, by default you do not have access to crafting in the game, until you get your first Cargo Unit.
Right now, purchasing multiple Cargo Units does not stack the capacity, but like the blueprints in the game, you may find a rarer Cargo Unit that can boost the inventory capacity further. As the game is still in development, we may see certain things change about inventory capacity as we go.
