Genshin Impact Version 3.0 has introduced a new way of farming for materials where enemies drop different items depending on what reactions or attacks were used against them. The Fungi are special enemy mobs fully introduced and released in Version 3.0 and these are Dendro creatures. Depending on the elements used against them and the forms they resort to upon coming in contact with these elements- they drop different materials accordingly.
Increase Drop Rates of Inactivated Fungal Nucleus, Dormant Fungal Nucleus and Robust Fungal Nucleus in Genshin Impact Version 3.0 Sumeru
Inactivated Fungal Nucleus, Dormant Fungal Nucleus and Robust Fungal Nucleus are comparatively easy to acquire than their powdered activated counterparts. As of now, the three bows released in Sumeru- Hunter’s Path, King’s Squire and End of the Line all use these drops for ascension so if you’ve been building any of these weapons for Collei or Tighnari and want to know how to increase the drop rates of these materials- this is your guide.
Fungi drop either activated or inactivated drops when they die. To ensure a higher drop rate of the inactive kind is very easy. All you have to do is make sure you don’t use any Dendro-Hydro reactions. Just keep Hydro units out of your party and use Quicken teams with Dendro and Electro.
You can also use the Anemo element to swirl the Electro to other nearby enemies. When Electro comes in contact with these Dendro creatures, they become activated and conversely drop the Inactivated Fungal Nucleus and its higher rarity counterparts like Dormant Fungal Nucleus and Robust Fungal Nucleus.
Additionally, you can also use Pyro characters in your team as their Burning reaction does not change the activated forms of the Fungi. The only elements to avoid are Hydro and Cryo because Hydro can cause Bloom and prevent activation by Electro and Cryo may interfere with Dendro reactions in general.
The higher the world level and the level of the Fungi, the more chance they have of dropping Dormant Fungal Nuclei and Robust Fungal Nuclei. If you are still in the medium levels then you can always use the Alchemy Table to refine Inactivated Fungal Nucleus to its higher rarity counterparts.
