In Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, players get more than 400 Pokemon, and they are divided into various categories. If you are a veteran player, you are aware of the Legendary and Pseudo-Legendary Pokemon in the Pokemon games. Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are no exception. In these games also, players can get a few Pseudo Legendary Pokemon, and Hydreigon is one of them. If you are looking for it and haven’t yet found one, this guide will help you with the location of Hydreigon.
How to Catch Hydreigon in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet- Location
As we have already said, Pseudo Legendary Pokemon are not newly introduced Pokemon in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. Instead, these Pokemon have been in the series since Generation 1. Though they are not as powerful as the Legendary Pokemon, they are still one of the most powerful teammates you can get. These Pokemon must be at the third stage of evolution and has 600 base stat.
In Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, some common Pseudo Legendary Pokemon can be found in both games, with a few version-specific Pokemon. So, Hydreigon is a Scarlet-exclusive Pokemon that Pokemon Violet players can’t get.
As we have said, Pseudo Pokemon can’t be got directly; they must appear after you evolved the base Pokemon twice. Hydreigon can be found similarly by evolving Deino twice. First, Deino evolves at level 50 and becomes Zweilous. Next, Zweilous evolves at level 64 and becomes Hydreigon. So, you must find Deino to get Hydreigon. As much as we know, Deino can be found in South Province (Area Six), inside Alfornada Cavern. This is the only spot we found Deino. However, it is not a common spawn, so maybe you find it a little hard to find it.
Now, once you get Deino, level it up, and it’ll automatically become Zweilous at level 50, and then it’ll become Hydreigon at level 64. This evolution process doesn’t need any particular item or time. Alternatively, you can skip the first evolution process if you manage to find a Zweilous. It can also be found in the same area where you get Deino. However, its spawn rate is less than 20%. So, it’ll be better to get Deino and evolve it into Hydreigon.
That’s all you need to know about how to catch Hydreigon in Pokemon Scarlet. Though Hydreigon is a little tricky to get, this effort is worth it.
