If you’ve played Genshin Impact for a long time, you’ll know how hard frogs are to come across in regular gameplay. They are quite useful in crafting, but they can be quite a pain to catch, unless you know how. This guide will take you through the process of how to get a large number of frogs quickly in Genshin Impact.
Where to Farm Frogs in Genshin Impact
Frog farming is something that all players should try at least once in their gameplay, as they might find the results to be beneficial. There are plenty of items to collect throughout the open world, as some of these tend to run away from you the harder you try to catch them. Creatures in the wild are sensitive to the character’s movement, and will try to scamper when they’re in close proximity.

Frogs too, will run away when you get too close. While food cannot be made out of frog legs, they can be used in Alchemy to craft some useful items. You can find frogs close to water bodies such as ponds and the ocean all over Teyvat. With the help of frogs, you can craft items such as Essential Oils of the Pyro, Hydro, Electro, and Geo which are potions that can be consumed to get buffs of the element.
The first location where you will encounter a lot of frogs is Minlin in Liyue, so check out the coastline there to look at the frog population. This is northwest of the closest teleport waypoint, so you should have no trouble getting there.
The other locations are the lakes of Springvale, the ponds of Dadaupa Gorge and the Qingxu Pool. Collect as many of them as you can see as there is a limited amount that can spawn per day, and make sure to be back once the reset period is complete. You can keep revisiting these spots every day to fill up all your frog needs.
