The Ash of War: Blood Blade is a skill that lets you add the skill of Blood Loss to your small and medium blades, and makes your enemies that encounter your sword take Bleed Damage. To find Ash of War: Blood Blade you will need to get on horseback and fight your way through enemies to get to a specific location.
The first thing you’ll need to do to get this item is head for Atlus Plateau where you’ll find the Shaded Castle in the north. It is a region below the Bridge of Iniquity in the direction of Mt. Gelmir. There is a ravine here that you’ll want to get into the centre of. There will be plenty of enemies around here, so it’s a good idea to fast travel to the Atlus Plateau Site of Grace and use Torrent to run past the monsters into the middle of the ravine.
This is where you will find the Teardrop Scarab amongst other crabs running around in the terrain. You need to catch the Scarab to get your hands on the Ash of War: Blood Blade. Once you’ve successfully done so and obtained the Ash of War, you can apply it to your weapons.
