Monster Hunter Rise is on the verge of release and with the two demos, we have had a good amount of content to get used to the mechanics of the game. Traditionally, fast travel is not a mechanics that was included in past titles, but that changed in Monster Hunter World and is coming to MHR. With the worlds connected, you will have the fast travel option in Monster Hunter Rise that will allow you to travel from one location to the other. While it is quite straightforward, this guide will show you everything about how to fast travel in Monster Hunter Rise.

Monster Hunter Rise: How to Fast Travel | MHR (MHRise)

Fast Travel works quite similar to the previous title in the Monster Hunter Series. You can only fast travel to the campsite on the map you have already unlocked. The same mechanics that’s with most games. Once you visit a camp site, you can return to it at any time, but not during a fight with a monster.

To fast travel in Monster Hunter Rise, you have to press the – (minus) button to open the Map and press A to select the location and confirm. Once you have confirmed a campsite on the map, you will immediately be transported hanging on a string tied to a Wingdrake.

One thing should note before you try to fast travel is you cannot do it while engaged in a fight with a monster. If you want to avoid the fight and fast travel, use the Farcaster. It’s an item that will instantly transport you to the nearest camp. Check out the linked guide to find and know more about the Farcaster.

Fast travel can be used in the game to complete quests faster and of course to avoid a monster you are not ready to deal with, but you need to set up camp in various locations around the map for this to work. In the Kamura Village, you can also fast-travel between different facilities such as the Buddy Plaza and Gathering Hub.
