Upgrading the Leviathan Axe can improve its efficiency while using Kratos’ Light, Heavy, and Throw attacks. The axe can also be upgraded without additional costs. This can also help you pick any new skill that Kratos can learn with the Axe.
There are five Frozen Flames around the realms of God of War. You will need to beat specific bosses from the storyline to get your hands on them. The catch for the final Frozen Flame is that you can only get it if you beat the main story.
The other four Frozen Flames can be found after completing these parts of the story:
- First Brok Encounter: Help Brok to move the animal across the bridge.
- First Sindri Encounter: Defeat the ogre miniboss
- Mountain Mine: The elevator room has a troll that needs to be beaten
- The corpse of Thamur the Giant: Defeat the bosses found while doing the quest The Magic Chisel
- Niflheim Frozen Flame: This is where the main story comes to an end. You will need to exchange the Chilling Mist with Sindri to get the final Frozen Flame. To get the Chilling Mist, travel to the center of the Niflheim maze and open the chest for 5,000 Mist Echoes.
Each Frozen Flame will help in upgrading the Leviathan Axe, as well as Kratos’ overall level in God of War. You just have to bring it to Brok or Sindri to upgrade it each time you get hold of a flame.
That’s all there is to know about how to get Frozen Flames in God of War. It is not possible to farm it, as there are only five of these in the game.
