  3. Type the command perfoverlay.drawfps 1 in the command box (you have to type, you cannot paste)
  4. Hit Enter and press the tilde (`) or (~) button again to exit.

That’s it, you should not be able to see the FPS on the mode selection screen as well as while you are in-game.
