With My Time at Sandrock’s Early Access currently available from the 26th of May, being familiar with the game’s main mechanics will make completing story tasks simpler. The latest edition in the My Time series focuses on accumulating materials to create various machines and structures to advance the tale. Water is one of the most important things you’ll need to keep your business running.
Water is utilised to cool down the numerous crafting stations, which contain every variation of a location where the material is transformed into goods. Because crafting stations cannot work without cooling, access to water is required for all aspects of gameplay. Unfortunately, Sandrock is a desert, and water is scarce. This article will guide you on how to get water in My Time at Sandrock.

Collecting Water in My Time at Sandrock
In My Time at Sandrock, there are two basic ways to get water:
- Dew is used in making water.
- Purchase water at Water World, a business east of the Civil Corps near the oasis.
Making Water by Dew
There are two ways of making water by dew.
First Way
The primary way to obtain water in My Time at Sandrock is to manufacture it at your Worktable with Dew. Dew may be obtained from the logs and plants surrounding your workshop. When you initially begin, Yakthorn and Yellow Lavender plants are your best bet.
Deadwood trees and logs on the ground will yield even more Dew as your axe improves. Take cautious not to harm any cactuses or live Boxtrees. You will be fined if you are found repeatedly cutting them down.
Second Way
Another way to collect Dew is to use eight Data discs to study the Dew Collector at the Research Center. Place the collection in your workshop when you’ve finished studying and creating it. It will accumulate Dew over time for you to utilise in crafting water. The collection can hold up to 20 Dew at a time, so you may fill it up over several days while doing other things.
One water unit costs 10 Dew to build without any enhancements. Level 2 Water Conservation in your Knowledge Workshop skill tree will require just 8 Dew to produce one water. Because the Mass Production skill node freezes this upgrade, you’ll need to spend a lot of Workshop skill points to get to this level. To access the Knowledge skill trees, you must be at least Level 5.
Buying Water
You may also buy water at Water World, a business near Arvio’s House and the Civil Corps headquarters. The first 20 units of water you purchase will be inexpensive. The price rises dramatically as you purchase more. This price difference is also influenced by the market price and your progress in the main tale. The table below displays a range of water prices:
- 1 bundle of five water units: 50 Gols a piece, for a total of 50.
- 4 bundles of five water units: 50 Gols a piece, for a total of 200.
- 10 bundles of five water units: 200-300 Gols a piece, for a total of 2000-3000.
- 50 bundles of five water units: 400-600 Gols a piece, for a total of 20000-30000.
Once you’ve obtained water for your Water tank, interact with it to determine your hourly water usage. Click on Adjust, then drag the slider to the desired amount of water in the tank.
Confirm that you want to fill the water tank. If your tank runs dry, your machines will overheat and halt manufacturing, thus stopping your progress. Filling your water tank will cool off your equipment, allowing you to resume production without penalty.
