Metroid Dread has about 10 different bosses and each battle with them is going to be pretty tough. The very first boss you will encounter in this game is Corpius Boss which is absolutely massive and so difficult to defeat. However, once you know the set of strategies, you can easily beat this giant opponent. Once defeated, you will get the reward of a fairly neat ability.
Let’s learn here how to beat Corpius Boss in Metroid Dread.
How to Defeat Corpius Boss in Metroid Dread
This boss turns invisible in between the battle and that is the difficult part to bring this enemy down. However, there is the best trick which we are going to learn here in the following.
Before you jump into the battle, ensure you have found and equipped a few Energy Tanks and Missile Tanks which will provide you with some extra missiles and more health. The fight with Corpius Boss will happen in two phases.
Phase 1
During the first phase of the fight with Corpius Boss in Metroid Dread, you will only want to dodge its tail swipes and stabs. And also dodge its spit attacks. And in between, keep shooting him and when you shot him several times, a short cutscene will be played and the battle will enter into the second phase.
Phase 2
In the second phase, Corpius will start showing its Camouflage ability but you can easily see its glowing stinger and so use normal gunfire and attack on it quickly.
Corpus will eventually break down parts of the wall in the field that will reveal magnetic blue pads that you can catch by jumping. You can use these pads in attacks and continue fighting, and then blast off its head when he is not in camo and come back to attack its glowing stinger when it turns invisible.
Finally, the enemy will bring its body off the ground that indicates that now you can slide under it, and make sure to prepare to pass a nasty stinger shot in your direction as you exit from the bottom.
Thus, it is pretty easy to beat Corpius Boss in Metroid Dread. All you need to do is to learn how to dodge its attacks and learn when you need to slide under the boss to defeat it ultimately.
