Prerequisites to Play Minecraft With Friends
If you want to play Minecraft with friends, the first thing you need is to ensure you have an active internet connection and that the version of your game should be the same as the server. The current version of your game should be at the bottom of your main menu. If it’s not the same as the server, change it.
How To Add Friends On Minecraft PC
If you are on Windows 10, find the Xbox App or download a latest copy from the official website. Once the Xbox app is installed, open the app and click on Social on the top bar. Here you will see your friend list. You can invite a friend from the existing list or search for a friend using their Xbox Gamer Tag. After you add the friend to the Xbox account, we can add them to the game next.
Using the desktop shortcut, launch the game through the Minecraft Launcher. Now, select Play to enter the game. Go to Realms by clicking on the Edit button. Once you are in the Realm Settings, click on Members. You will be able to see the friends already invited and on top an option Add Friend to invite new members. Click on the option to invite next to your friends name and they be added.
You could also use Realms Invite Link to invite friends to your realm. This is a feature that allows you to easily add players to your realm without having to invite each and every player one at a time. This is a very efficient process.
You can send the unique Invite link of your realm to players you want to invite. When a player clicks on this link, they are prompted to sing-in or create a new Xbox Live account if they don’t have one. Once they sign-in, the player is directly added to your Realm’s whitelist. You do not even have to be online for the players to jump into the game.
