How HUT X-Factor Works in NHL 22
In NHL 22, there are 2 different ties of Superstar X-Factor abilities: Superstar abilities and Zone abilities. Each player gets one unique Zone ability and Superstar abilities to match it. However, the functions of both abilities remain the same but its boosting level of ability gets changes and that depends on whether it is in the Superstar or Zone spot.
When you obtain a HUT X-Factor card, it will initiate at Tier 1, and from there, a player can spend the Coins to move the card to Tier 2 and 3 and so on. The higher Tiers will cost you more and also you will be needed some more additional items like Power-Up collectibles and Player cards in order to upgrade. However, new tiers will come with high ratings and in certain cases, new Zone abilities.
It is important to note that EA Sports will be adding some new Tiers to X-Factor cards in the future. Therefore, it can collect 86 OVR overall with maximum card time.
In addition, the EA team has also incorporated Power-Up Icon cards to NHL 22 which are superior Alumni cards that can also be upgraded throughout the year. And typically, these cards feature Legends that devs have added in the NHL 22 just like the standard X-Factor cards and Zone and Superstar abilities.
