Hogwarts Legacy is the new Harry Potter game that everyone has been talking about. After years of delay, we finally have a release date of 10th February 2023, so make sure to mark your calendars. We already know about some features of the game, so it’s a good idea to become acquainted with them before the game finally drops. In this guide, we will take you through the Room of Requirement and what it does in Hogwarts Legacy.
Hogwarts Legacy: Room of Requirement Explained
In the books, Harry Potter finds the Room of Requirement in his fifth year, when he needs it the most. The Room recognizes the need of the seeker and creates a room that might help them. Something similar will be in motion for the game, however, you will be able to access the room whenever you want.

In the game, your character will be able to use the Room of Requirement as a base of operations. It is a sort of safe hub where you will be able to return and rest up. Eventually, as you progress through the game, you can expand the room to fit your tastes and needs.
The Room of Requirement will be customizable, as you can add some side rooms and decorations to it, much like a life simulation game. Furniture and cosmetic items can be conjured by magic, after which you will also be able to change their color and size.
In practical gameplay, you will be able to use the Room of Requirement to check on your gears and upgrade them. These are used to boost the stats of your character. By adding bonuses to your gear, you can become more powerful and beat progressively difficult enemies.
Finally, you will find a Vivarium at the end of the Room of Requirement where you will be able to keep your pets in Hogwarts Legacy, which are magical beasts. You can interact with them here to get some unique crafting materials as rewards.
