The Pinecones Piece is a not-so-common natural material in Grounded, typically found along the edges of forests and near bodies of water. Survivors can use these pieces to craft Fresh Storage units that keep food from spoiling for long periods. This tech advancement has been vital to survivors who want access to quality food but cannot spend much time hunting for it themselves.

Where to Find Pinecone Pieces?
Pieces of the rare pinecone can be found when going through forest areas or smashing apart fallen trees. To find them, go to Upper Grassland, which is commonly located in the northeastern section of Grounded. This can only be reached by heading towards the large tree stump northwest of the Pond and then going up through Windy Woods Paths leading north until you enter Upper Yard Ascent.
At this point, you will want to break open one or both rocks at the top with a bomb before continuing northward through another path that leads into Upperville Hedge Maze, where you’ll eventually reach your goal in the lower left-hand corner near some water fountains.
Following that, you must visit the northeast corner of the Upper Yard, near the Lawnmower and the rotted log. Surrounding the rotten log, you should be able to find multiple pinecones for you to break down. To break these cones, however, requires a level three hammer. To get it, go kill some black ox beetles, one of the toughest bugs in the game, just like any boss or enemy.
When fighting these beasts or collecting Pinecone Pieces from them, make sure you stop by the home base from time to time. You never know when you’ll need some extra supplies for an upcoming project.
