The Gilded Dreams is a new upcoming artifact set in Sumeru, and it will come alongside the Deepwood Memories artifact set from the same domain. While the Deepwood Memories is a Dendro artifact set, the Gilded Dreams is a more general set viable for multiple characters. In this article, we’ll discuss its effects, uses, and which characters might best benefit from it in Sumeru.
The First 5-star EM Artifact Set
The Instructor set is the only EM-focused artifact set we had in the game, but it was only a 4-star, so it suffered from low base stats. The Gilded Dreams will be the first EM-based artifact set, and its greatest competitor is the Viridescent Venerer which Anemo units have long used for their Swirl damage and overall DPS.
For a long time, EM came to be associated with Anemo even though its true purpose was always to serve as a crowd control utility element- even though Swirl damage is dependent on EM and Swirls shred enemy resistances for EM to be more effective. Dendro is about to change everything as leakers say, Dendro will be synonymous with EM.
Players will still want to change their old EM-build characters like Kazuha, Venti, and Sucrose from their Viridescent set to the Gilded Dreams set because it is an EM-focused artifact. Its 2 and 4-piece bonuses are as follows.
2-Piece Set Bonus
The 2 piece bonus of this artifact set is that it will reward you with a flat 80 EM points. This will give the initiative for players to spend more on the game and or easily build their EM-builds going forward.
4-Piece Set Bonus
The 4 piece set of this artifact essentially increases your ATK by how many characters of the same element you have as a master. For example, if the character wielding this set was an Anemo unit, and there was another Anemo unit in the party, then your character will gain ATK buffs worth 1 character of the same element. On the other hand, all characters of different elements than the wielder will award the user of this artifact set with an EM bonus.
The greatest users of this artifact set are leaked to be Fischl and Yae Miko, who can best use its effects and multipliers. There are also plenty of Anemo characters we will have to test these on, like Venti, Kazuha, and Sucrose. Players will have a busy time grinding this domain next update for the few good artifact rolls, and we wish our travelers all the luck for it.
