Second Blooming is Lisa’s event in Genshin Impact Version 3.4 where after completing the event you get Lisa’s Sumeru skin for free. The event is a combat event with shared team building, added modifiers to buff your teams and ley line effects.
The event gives you trial characters to use and each day the difficulty spikes just a little. According to rumours, Day 4’s challenge was especially tricky and casual players even found it difficult. We already covered the guide for Days 1, 2 and 3 and in this article, we’ll tell you how to clear the difficult challenges of Day 4.
Second Blooming Day 4
The difficulty with Day 4’s challenge is not its enemies but its Ley Line effect which selects one random enemy to be the Pivot and as long as the Pivot is alive, all other enemies on the field are buffed. They not only deal more damage but also recover considerable HP at regular intervals. Naturally, it requires experienced gameplay where you’ll need to be able to spot the Pivot in the horde of enemies and take them out first.
Thankfully, the trial characters given in this challenge are mostly meta Anemo units like Xiao and Kazuha. You also get Faruzan who’s meant to function as a buffer for Anemo DPS units like Xiao. Layla is also provided as a reliable Cryo shielder since many enemies come with an Electro shield which you’ll need Cryo to break.
Players who have a powerful Cryo main DPS with AoE coverage like Ayaka or Ganyu are recommended to use them in this challenge. If you do have Ayaka or Ganyu, you can build two Freeze teams around them while the other remains an Anemo DPS team. Else, it’s best to use your strongest duos while also making sure each team at least has a shielder. All of your teams will need to reserve two slots- one for a shielder and one for an Anemo CC unit. With that in mind, here’s one way to clear Day 4’s challenging rounds.
Round 1
The only problematic enemies in Round 1 are the Electro Abyss Mage and the Thunderhelm Lawachurl. That’s why a Cryo unit to break their shields is vital. Beyond that, you can use a combination of Kazuha and Xiao to group enemies into one area and then plunging away with Xiao to take them all out quickly. Zhongli is a great shielder here since he has a long shield up-time which allows Xiao to be more on-field and do more damage.
As for skills, you definitely have to go for the Anemo DMG bonus one but the second skill is up to you. You can use either the Plunge ATK or the Cryo DMG Bonus buff as per your preferences.
Round 2
The only difficult enemy in this round is the Mirror Maiden who has a lot of HP. Thus you can prioritize using a ‘nuke’ character that can dish out massive damage numbers in one hit. Venti is an excellent CC so the rest of the enemies are a cakewalk. The best nuke character to use here is Raiden Shogun as she not only gives tons of ER to your team but also buffs the bursts of other teammates while benefitting from their bursts herself. The reason for using a Hydro teammate alongside Raiden is because in case there are stray enemies with low HP on the field, Electro-Charged can deal with them.
Other nuke characters would be Ayaka or Hu Tao. You can also use Sucrose instead of Venti since she isn’t a bad CC unit herself and she also gives bonus EM to the team which is always good.
The skills chosen for this round are those that can maximise your main DPS’s damage. Since Raiden is a burst DPS, the Burst DMG buff and the CRIT DMG buff were the best picks for this team.
Round 3
In round 3, the most notable enemies are the three Abyss Mages- each of different elements. Thus Kazuha is a must since his high EM can Swirl and break their shields easily. Diona acts as the shielder while Venti acts as a powerful CC unit against the heavy Shroom enemies. The main DPS in this team is Yae Miko since you can just deploy her E skill three times and then go on with the rest of your rotations without any worries. Once you return back to her you can just burst. Alternatives to Yae would be Ayato, Childe, Ayaka or even Ganyu
The skills used in this one are Swirl buff and ATK% buff to maximise the damage dealt by Yae’s E skill and burst.
Freeze teams are still the best options but DPS duos are also viable for this day’s challenge. When each wave of enemy spawns, we recommend you catch your breath and take a look around for the Pivot and target them first as this will make your whole run easier.
