Genshin Impact Version 3.4 is almost upon us and we finally have all the banner lineups in this upcoming patch. All banners in this update look stacked due to all 5-stars in both character and weapon banners being seemingly meta- considering Alhaitham lives up to the challenge against industry veterans like Xiao, Hu Tao or Yelan.
First Phase Banners in Genshin Impact 3.4
The first phase banners are rather green due to both Alhaitham and Xiao having a green aesthetic in their looks.
Both of these banners will of course run simultaneously as has become the ritual. The 4-stars included in these banners are as follows:
- Yaoyao (Dendro)- Healer and Burgeon support.
- Yun Jin (Geo)- NA buffer.
- Xinyan (Pyro)- Shielder and Physical DMG support.
For Yaoyao it will be her first banner as this is also her release event alongside Alhaitham. One would expect her to be included in the 2nd Phase banner alongside other Liyue characters due to the Lantern Rite but we guess it’s because of her element Dendro that she’s being featured on these banners instead. As for Yun Jin and Xinyan, the likely reason they are also featured is that it’s a Lantern Rite patch and all 4-stars and almost all 5-stars are from Liyue.
The weapon banner includes the new 5-star weapon- Light of Foliar Incision which is Alhaitham’s signature weapon. The Primordial Jade Winged-Spear is also Xiao’s signature weapon. Both of these weapons are very strong as they are not just stat sticks that will benefit any DPS but their special abilities are also best suited for their individual 5-star wielders.
The 4-star weapons on this banner are as follows:
- The Flute
- Sacrificial Bow
- The Widsith
- Dragon’s Bane
- The Rainslasher
All of these weapons have something to do with EM with only the Sacrificial Bow being only useful for ER. These are all great weapons to use in Sumeru due to their versatility and utility.
Second Phase Banners in Genshin Impact 3.4
The second phase banners were recently announced and they are stacked not just with meta 5-stars but also meta 4-stars.
Both Hu Tao and Yelan have dominated the meta since their release and they are still going strong. Even though Pyro’s interaction with Dendro has been weak and it took a general drop in Sumeru’s Dendro meta, Hu Tao’s power is undeniable and she still holds her position as the top, most powerful single-target DPS in the game by sheer force and DMG. Yelan on the other hand synergises perfectly with Dendro teams and this has only given her more fans.
The 4-stars on these banners are nothing to scoff at either.
- Xinqiu (Hydro)- DMG and reaction support.
- Ningguang (Geo)- DPS.
- Beidou (Electro)- Support and Sub-DPS.
People were afraid Yelan would replace Xinqiu and even though their kits are similar, Xinqiu still remains in the meta due to the same reasons Yelan’s in the meta. Both of them are the best Hydro DMG supports you could get in the game. Ningguang is called a “Machine Gun” due to her unrivalled Geo DPS potential as a 4-star. She goes toe to toe with the likes of Yanfei and Heizou when it comes to 4-star catalyst DPS units. Beidou has remained one of the most fun units to play due to her counter mechanic. She can not only be used as an excellent Electro support for reactions but she can also be built as a powerful DPS if you choose to do so.
As for the weapon banner, we have the Staff of Homa as Hu Tao’s signature polearm and the Aqua Simulacra which is Yelan’s BIS. Homa banners usually have a reputation of being stacked with meta DPS weapons and this banner proves that claim true once again.
The 4-star weapons are as follows:
- Rust
- Favonius Sword
- Favonius Codex
- Dragon’s Bane
- Lithic Blade
The 4-star weapons in this banner also mostly have to do with a utility which is useful for your support characters. Only the Rust stands out as a NA physical DMG weapon for your bow characters.
All character and weapon banners in this patch are worth pulling on so if you’ve been saving up for a while then this would be a good patch to use all those primogems on. We wish all players in their upcoming pulls.
